~20hours which is way too long
I've decided to work out one of my recent sketches, but ended up detailing it too much and created a complete mess... I know, the lighting & pespective are horrible. But please bare with me, i'm still learning the basics of painting with my computer and it's just an first attempt at an futuristic environment/ high technology architecture. And a first attempt at painting water as you can see
Feedback would be very appreciated

Is this what our future holds? Or is this from a galaxy far, far away? High Technology by *aiRaGe makes us wonder with its overall perttiness! (Suggested by ~SpudZ-- and Featured by `halfliquid)
In places the colours get dodged or burnt out. Some areas look quite blurry, and combined with the colour issues I just mentioned it can create a messy looking effect. Other areas look really clean and well detailed...especially at the top of the structure. The perspective looks just rotten to me at the bottom (those little docks or whatever). Cool concept, nice to see some new ideas out there.
You did an amazing job for a first painting!
I enjoy looking at it. It may not be as detailed or as realistic as you might like it to be, but I think it created a really nice painted dream effect.
I do see the distorted perspective and some messy areas, but I think overall it looks really good.

Woha, it's great.
It's really blury, and that's what gives a really great fantasy feeling to the pic.
I don't know squat about perspective, so I think it's amazing.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
