2400x1200 Photoshop with Intuos2, no Ref. Painted in approx. 20 hours, reworked the image for 2-3 more hours - i think it's much better now. So the resubmission, sorry if i annoy you with that. Thanks for the critique/feedback at the previous image, it helped a lot
Of course any feedback would be highly appreciated. Thank you!
it's not bad, but it's a little confusing to look at. it could definetly do with being sharpened up, the soft glowy edges of the buildings don't strike me as very realistic. The light source also seems quite strange, as it seems like it's in the middle of the page roughly, the buildings on the left being lit on the right side and the ones on the right being lit on the left hand side, but this light source is not visible to me as being brighter than the rest of the image.
The shapes of many of the structural elements also seem to blend a little bit which leaves me all ?? coz i can't get a good read on the shapes and what's going on so well.
Also i'd like to say i've joined up on conceptart.org and i've seen one of your threads there, so I was following it I can admire that you wish to improve your work, and I too am trying to continuously make mine better and understand more about lighting and colour theory. I might try grabbing your MSN addy if you got it on your sight or whatever, mines on my DA page or you could perhaps note it to me
O, your works get just better and better, but maybe you won't mind if I point out some things I have on my mind. To make this cookie even more delicious, why wouldn't you try he holy highlight tool? It could give very great tone to whole piece. Secondary, the background looks kinda moving. the effect you have tried there hasn't come out so greatly, I think it's about the misty-look. However, very good piece again. More please.

You should work on clouds, they looks weird. Make them more realistic, you usually do it perfect.
