Tutorial about Planet texture creation

Journal Entry: Sat Jan 22, 2005, 7:07 AM
Hey people, not much to say this time.
I'm currently cleaning up my Gallery a bit, maybe i'm going to delete some stuff, i dunno. So please don't be angry about eventually some resubmissions and messages in your inboxes from pieces u've seen already. Thanks.

if you're interested in an real in-depth-tutorial about creating a complex and individual planet surface, check out these 2 parts of the Tutorials by , more to come :

I think he did a creat job with these so far, i've learned a lot. It's not just like "take texture-select-spherize-add glow& shadow", it's very detailed and may be time-consuming , but it's definately worth to take a look at. Plus, the most tutorials i've read so far were just about adding shadows, atmosphere etc. and not that in- depth about texture creation like these.

Projects:
- I made a small break from my X-men fanart, working on this one since days... i can't see it anymore. I'll return to it the next day, hope to get it finished soon. Progress around 40% .

-Main sketching on paper done for another "Coming home piece". It will be very, very different then the old one and probably won't include any Terragen renderings. Well, concept and sketching is finished, i will start the real work in Photoshop the next days. I guess this one will be one of these bigger things, i'm planning in at least one week of time...

- Hell on earth painting, approx. 60% done.

- Some more speedpaintings to annoy you lol :yum: I have to practice, and it's good to get my mind free.

I still have 4 Gmail- invitations to spare. If you're interested in, just leave me a comment or note with your name and your current email adress ;)

Thanks people :)

and, u better dont delete unwanted stuff. . . .it would be better to use teh galery management tools to make certain deviations invisible.

and, u may even scrap them instead of deleting them

Thanks for the tip man, the Gallery management tool was new to me. I'm using this now and won't delete anything :)
